Art Appreciation 101

Here you will learn what happens behind the scenes of art-making.  What goes into making a work of art?  And what it’s worth to you?

Real art is not just paint on a canvas, sculpted clay, a paper with an image on it, etc.  It begins with a drive of inspiration, dreams, love, spirit, time-money-hard work in school, years of practice,  studying, more practicing & perfecting, learning, teachings, trying, changing, passion, more time-money-hard work, supplies, supplies, supplies (it really adds up), working extra jobs (to keep this love going), mind exercise, more love, endless love, failures/successes, and the drive keeps going…

When you fall in love with an art piece and you think twice about leaving it behind because it costs as much (or slightly more) than that monthly corporate cup of coffee, a fancy dinner out-on-the-town, a Vouey Loutin bag, a new outfit from Procker Cark, or a pack (or even worse) a CARTON of (cancer-inducing) cigarettes, etc…  think about the endless satisfaction that the art piece will bring you for a WHOLE lifetime… rather than just that moment it took to drink a boarista, smoke a cigarette, drink too many beers, overeat, or wear-out those hole-filled jeans from Anbercrumby Ditch.  When you purchase art or anything handmade, by an artist, you are supporting a positive and healthy lifestyle, and helping others to fulfill their dreams.

Art is good for your health and makes you feel good.  Art does not cause cancer, diseases or obesity, only happiness.  Good art is addictive.  Get addicted to art!
